In our modern society, the concrete structures to support our lives are required to have high durability. Likewise, the insert and anchor materials used in these concrete structures are also required to have high durability.
MEIDEN " Ceramic Insert" (registered trademark applied for) is anther great fruit if Meidensha's technologies related to ceramics and accumulated for many years. The newly developed pointing inserts (anchors) to be embedded made of ceramic materials.
We would like to suggest to our customers the use of MEIDEN Ceramic Inserts that can offer a variety of advantages, never available in the past.

Characteristics.

High insulation performance Since the product is made of a high-purity alumina (oxidation alumina and Al2O3) ceramic material, the main body of the insert is an insulationg material. There is no electric erosion due to contact with metallic bolts, steel reinforcement, etc.
High durability against corrosion Since a high-purity alumina ceramic material is used, no corrosion can take place even under adverse circumstances of acid,alkali,high humidity, salt damage, and so on.
High durability against fire Since a high-purity alumina ceramic material is used, no deformation and deterioration can occur even at temperatures of 1300℃ or above. Safety can be maintained even if a fire should break out.
High strength Since the product is made of a high-purity alumina ceramic material and its shape is oval, it is resistant to shocks from the outside. Compared with metallic insert materials its strength is by no means inferior to theirs.
Highly compatible We standardize and commercialize two kinds of the meter screws M12 and M16. We also custom make other sizes, special screws and so on, too.
High workability The workability is higher than the gluing system anchor, because it uses a mortar system cement as the fixation material. It is also outstanding in it's handling, allowing you to adjust the depth underground, too.

Uses

Side protection for moored ships.
To ensure safety for the moored ships, ship's side protectors are mounted on the wharf. The ceramic inserts are most suitable for the mounting of these side protectors because they are free from corrosion on account of brine.
Marine tunnel construction work.
Even under rigorous circumstances where contact with brine is unavoidable, the ceramic inserts never generate rust. They exhibit high reliability.

Underground utility tunnels.
The rearrangement of infrastructures is being promoted to maintain the esthetic scenery of cities and towns by eliminating the electricity poles and laying cables underground utility tunnels, the ceramic inserts are also used.
Tunnel construction.
The ceramic inserts are used in many tunnels where plenty of moisture is present. It is unnecessary to repeat any remedial construction work if the ceramic inserts are used because of their predictable features of freedom from corrosion and strength lowering.
